Foam Bonding Tape

As a type of pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) tape, foam bonding tape consists of foam and offers adhesive on either one side or both sides. This kind of PSA tape is known for its flexibility, allowing users to bond or seal untextured surfaces, depending on the style of foam-bonded tape used. Like other kinds of PSA tape, foam bonding tape comes in different variations, so you can choose the right type for your application—and you only need the pressure to adhere to it.

Magnum Tapes and Films Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tapes For Foam Bonding

Types of Foam Bonding PSA Tape

Whether you need double-coated, double-coated differential, or transfer foam bonding tape, Magnum Tapes & Films has multiple kinds of foam-bonded tape to consider.

Our tapes come with either rubber- or low-volatile organic compound (VOC), acrylic-based adhesive, and foam base. Each of our Series selections offers different adhesive levels, some permanent. Choose from double-sided options for applications like bonding surfaces together or single-sided ones for sealing.

Learn more about the types of foam bonding tape we offer by browsing each product's description. Additionally, you can download our Adhesive Product Guide for more information or contact our expert sales team for product guidance.

Advantages of Foam Bonding Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape

There are many reasons to choose foam bonding tape. In particular, the foam material makes it ideal for cushioning and sound dampening, and you can rely on it to work well in numerous environments. Many industries, such as the automotive sector, prefer foam-bonded PSA tape for sealing and insulating. Additionally, you might use it for gasketing applications.

Here are some key advantages of foam bonding PSA tape:

  • Offers slip resistance and noise-damping
  • Works in various interior and exterior environments
  • Protects surfaces with cushioning
  • Resists impacts
  • Provides consistent insulating capabilities
  • Stays strong amid temperature fluctuations

How to Choose the Right Foam Bonding PSA Tape

The Magnum Tapes & Films team can help determine which foam-bonded tape is best for your needs. However, as you browse your options, you can ask yourself the following questions to make the process a bit easier:

  • What will you adhere the tape to?
  • How will you apply the tape?
  • What will be the tape's purpose in the project?
  • What are your project's conditions, such as the temperature and moisture level?

These considerations can help you better understand whether you need single- or double-sided tape, what level of adhesive your project needs, and how easily you can remove the tape if necessary.
